Frances Lenora Cullum Schroeder was born on September 18, 1934 and made her journey to heaven on October 6, 2022.
Frances was the first of three girls born to Cecil Cullum and Ella Mae Tumbleson Cullum in Marianna, Arkansas. She lived in Memphis, TN from 1940 to 1945. The family moved to Jacksonville, AR at the end of the war in 1945. Frances graduated from Jacksonville High School and immediately took a job with an insurance company in Little Rock as a claims adjuster.
In 1951, Frances met Jerry when he came to Jacksonville with a fellow soldier, and they were married on January 1, 1954. Frances worked as a Job Cost Accountant for Natkin & Co. in Tulsa from 1956-1958 while Jerry was in A & E School.
They moved to Aurora, CO in September 1958 when Jerry took a job with Frontier Airlines. Frances worked as an accountant from 1958-1959 for American Chain & Cable in Denver until Janet was born. She became a "stay at home" mom with Janet and Kathleen.
With the encouragement of several physicians, a grant from the American Cancer Society, and a commitment for employment from Presbyterian Hospital, Frances went to school at the Cleveland Clinic in the summer of 1971 to become an Ostomy Therapist. She worked at Presbyterian Hospital for 25 years in that role. Those years were very fulfilling and rewarding, and Frances touched many lives thru her work, including an NFL player.
Frances was baptized in her teen years and has been a faithful member of the Church of Christ since then. Frances has taught numerous Bible Classes over the years and lead many teacher training classes. She helped her husband as he served as a deacon and an elder thru the years. Frances has been a member at Dahlia Street Church of Christ until her passing. God has always been a priority in her life.
She was a member of the Aurora Genealogy Society and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Frances enjoyed scrapbooking, genealogy, gardening, and spending time with family, but her priority in life has always been God and the Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ella Mae Cullum and her daughter, Kathleen Madden.
