Frank Anthony Alire was born on August 23, 1951 in Denver, CO, the third of 4 boys born to Helen B Alire and Joe A Alire. He lived in Denver, CO his entire life, finishing school at Lincoln High School. He then went to work at various places, including Montgomery Ward and the Mountain Parks of Colorado, for a few years. After this, he began his career for the City of Denver, in traffic control and street maintenance, in 1991 and stayed there for 22 years and 8 months, when he retired in 2014. During this time he married Olivia A Archuleta on March 31, 1972 and remained married for 27 years, having 3 children.

Frank was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and godfather. He was light-hearted and generous to his family and friends. He was a simple man with simple needs. Frank was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams being the Denver Broncos, the Denver Nuggets, and the Colorado Avalanche. He could always be found watching one of his team's games, his Budweiser in hand. He loved to spend time with his grandkids, playing simple games such as tic-tac-toe or playing cards. He loved to make people happy, giving where he could, encouraging when he could, and helping out however he could. He had a special relationship with each one of his grandkids which will be held dear forever. Even through the battling of his various illnesses, he stayed strong and positive until the end.

Frank was preceded in death by parents Helen and Joe Alire and brothers Richard Alire and Joe Al Alire. He is survived by a brother, Rocky Alire, his 3 children Joe Alire, and spouse, Rebecca Alire, Frank Alire Jr, and spouse, Angelica Alire, and Melissa Alire-Chavez, as well as 7 grandchildren, Xavier Alire, Erick Chavez, Anthony (Skylar) Alire, Airee (Bella) Alire, Ava Alire, Matthew Forde, and Brittany Forde, and 2 great-grandchildren, Alessandra Forde and Emma-Lynn Forde..

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at All Saints Church - 2559 S Federal Blvd, Denver,CO, 80219 - on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11 am - reception to follow, viewing prior at 10 am.
