Frank Junior Wilson was born in Tapones, CO with his twin Florence, who proceeds him in death, on May 8, 1932 in a small house.
Frank was one of 10 children born to Dorothy Chambers Wilson and Frank Wilson. They didn't have much, but they loved their children.
Frank went through the 11th grade in Yampa and got his GED in the Army in December 1953. He was in the Army for 6 years, serving as Special Forces. He was captured by the enemy 3 times during the Korean war and managed to escape all 3.
On his discharge, he moved up to Coos Bay, Oregon where he met and married Ina Pearl Markham. They had four children, 1 girl and 3 boys. Kristy, Doug, Dennis (who proceeds him in death) and Dave. Frank loved his children. He was a very involved father who helped coach their Little League Basketball and Baseball teams and helped lead them during Cub Scouts and Webelos.
Frank loved to be outdoors. Whether it was fishing, camping, hunting, gardening or just hanging out. He loved the wilderness, the stars and celestial things. He also loved to bowl.
He was an avid professional wrestling fan.
He married Beverly Hain on August 15, 1980. They were married for 26 years. She had four children, Laurie, Stephen, Wendy and Jody. He loved each one.
All together Frank had 16 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Frank was a hard worker and worked mainly in lumber most of his life. He also did a stint as a truck driver.
Frank overcame many obstacles in his life but finally succombed to cancer.
He was a big animal lover and always had a cat, dog or rabbit following him around. He would spend hours teaching them tricks.
His pride and joy was his grandson Dylan who called him "Pa". They used to fish, camp and shoot hoops together.
He loved to tease and loved a good joke. Including the ugliest mask ever made that he wore while handing out Halloween candy. The same kids didn't usually come back 2 years in a row!
