Fred A. Paskins

January 30, 1936 — December 22, 2023

Fred Albert Paskins was born on January 30, 1936 to Geneva and Venable in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was raised by both his parents and grandparents who were a major influence in his development.

He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. Fred, also known as "Fritz" and was active in PAC, NAACP, Boys Scout, Dorm Council, and Glee Club. He graduated from high school with honors. He earned his associate degree in business before entering in the United States Airforce where he served for 22 years, earning the rank of Technical Sergeant.

Fred married Hazel Yvonne and this union produced three sons, Forrest Arick, Craig Steven, and Shawn Reagan. After retiring from the Air Force, he joined the team at the Insurance Commission for the State of Colorado and worked there for seventeen years. Fred met Barbara Watson and they were married in 1994. Their union welcomed with Love their daughter, JeNoah Kai. Fred and JeNoah enjoyed a very special father-daughter bond. Fred was always a dog Lover, enjoyed football especially his beloved Broncos! He Loved music and was gifted with a rich baritone voice. He was an avid reader and always enjoyed a hearty debate. Fred always maintained his quiet strength; calm demeanor and he was slow to anger.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, his twin brother Arick; his son Forrest Arick and his brother-in-Law Bernard Stevens. Fred is survived by his wife, Barbara, his daughter JeNoah Kai and sons Craig (Brooke), Shawn (Cheryl) and grandson Isaiah; brother-in-Law Junious Turner (Carolyn); sister-in-Law DeBorah Carr Bonham (James); brother-in- Law Melvin Stevens (Kathy); Minister Parnell McGee; and a host of family and friends.
