Freddia Bassett, 76, of Lakewood, passed away December 24, 2020. She was born October 14, 1944 in Plainview, Texas, the daughter of Woodson and Arlene (Hoefer) Gregory.
Freddia is survived by her husband Harold, Daughter Tracy Lee Harmon; Son Harold Christopher Bassett; Granddaughters Alexandra Lee Harmon and Merissah Ann Bassett; and Grandson Austin Gregory Harmon. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Freddia was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Her enjoyment in life was being around family and all the Grandpets.
In high school she participated in equestrian activities such as riding show horses in parades. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years doing part-time clothing modeling. As her children grew older, she worked with the City of Lakewood, Community Resources Department, as a receptionist for 10+ years, retiring from there in 2001.
No services are planned at this time. An announcement will be made at a future date regarding a memorial celebration of her life.
