Fumiko Murasawa Alonzo was born in June 1922 in Iida, Naganoken Prefecture, Japan, the eldest child of Shizue Murasawa and Kenji Kobayashi. After completing her education, she worked for the US Army in Yokohama where she met a handsome Staff Sergeant, Narciso G. Alonzo. During the time between the end of WWII and the Korean War, they enjoyed their time together socializing and dancing with their group of friends at the NCO club. She and her family moved to Colorado in 1967 and settled in Aurora, where she spent the remainder of her life. She was active in several Japanese Women's Clubs and enjoyed socializing, dancing and raising her family. She was an outstanding seamstress and cook.
