Gail was born to Vernon and Margaret in Mazon, Illinois in 1938.
She attended the Burley School House, a one room schoolhouse of which she had many fond memories and stories. She graduated from Mazon High School in 1956, and set off to attend college in Chicago.
During her time in college she went to a summer program held at Denver University where she met the love of her life John. John and Gail were married in 1958 and had four children Mark, Robin, Kirk, and Tanya.
She went back to school to complete her nursing certification and became an LPN in the early 1980s. She served as a nurse at the Hospice of Saint John for 20 years in Lakewood, CO until she retired.
Gail always loved animals and was never without an animal companion in her life and enjoyed feeding and watching the wildlife around her home.
She was an avid card player, her favorite games being Bridge and Rummy, and keeping her mind sharp with crosswords and word scrambles.
Gail is predeceased by her parents Vernon and Margaret, and her brother Dick.
Gail is survived by her sister-in-law Verla and her family; her children Mark, Robin, Kirk, and Tanya; her four grandchildren Courtney, Tessa, Taylor, and Katie Jo; and her ten great grandchildren Emma, Nevaeh, Sophia, Estan, Rowan, Robin, Luna, Gavyn, Liam, and Jacob.
Services for Gail will be held on August 1, 2020 at 11:00am at Mountain High Chapel 8444 Hwy 285, Morrison, CO 80465.
