Gail Grace Thurber, 76, of Denver (most recently Littleton) died Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Gail was born in Glendale, CA to the late Claude Martin Thurber and Eunice Grace Thurber on May 8, 1942. She spent most of her childhood in Windsor, Missouri and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska before coming to Colorado in 1985. She graduated high school from Sunnydale Academy/Centralia, MO in 1962.
She was *big* sister to the late Claudia L. Thurber and surviving sister, Carol L. Thurber of Littleton. Gail loved all children and all animals - especially hummingbirds! For over 35 years she enjoyed greeting the children at her church each week, whether in their classes or filling/distributing quiet bags to keep them busy during the service. In remembering Gail, friends have used the terms: sweet, gentle, loving/child-like love who saw the beauty of life through animals and children (even though her life was filled with challenges).
Gail will be buried beside her parents and sister at a later date in Windsor, MO.
In lieu of flowers, please consider sharing your resources of time or money with Kuda Vana Partnership (Childrens' Home in Zimbabwe) or perhaps a children's church project or animal fund of your choice.
