Galen Joseph Barenberg, born April 24, 1954 in Denver, CO., died unexpectedly January 4, 2021 in Aurora, CO. He was 66 years old. Preceded in death by his parents
Lester J. Barenberg (d. 2003), and Lucille M. Barenberg ( Riepl, d.2017). Galen is the beloved Father of Hillary D. Newberry and Justin J. Barenberg;
devoted Grandfather of Joshua A. and Gabriel G. Jillson, Kaitlyn N. and Kylie J. Newberry, Dylan E. Thurman and Devin J. Barenberg. Also survived by four sisters: Cynthia A. Stadig (Glenn), Marissa L. Andrew,(Robert), Martel M. Barenberg, Mary S. Cady, and one brother, Patrick L. Barenberg, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Galen is a graduate of Cure' d Ars grade school and Machebeuf High School, 1972. He lived in the Bennett area since 1995. Galen worked as a mechanic for
Sturgeon Electric Co., recently retiring in the summer, 2020. He enjoyed the comradery there with co-workers.
Galen had a big heart and good sense of humor. He was always willing to help out where needed. His family will miss him immensely.
