Garland Ray Davis 79 years old, born September 5,1938 in Dunn, North Carolina. He lived in Asheville, NC and Trinidad, Colorado and then resided in Aurora Colorado since 1984. Garland passed away peacefully on March 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at the Medical Center of Aurora.
Garland graduated from Erwin High school in Erwin, North Carolina. He served 4 years in the Air Force and retired after 38 years from the FAA as a Manager of Airways Facilities at the Denver International and Front Range Airports. He was married on December 12, 1958 and happily married to his wife Jo Ann for 59 years.
Garland is survived by his wife Jo Ann Davis and his 3 children, Kenny (wife Connie) Davis, of Bennett, Colorado, Gary Davis, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Teri Brown, of Aurora, Colorado, and preceded in death by his beloved daughter Carrie Williams. Grandkids: Alex Davis, Adam Davis, Nicholas Brown, Quiana, Jaelin and Chris Davis. Survived by his sister Jackie and Brother-in-law Gary McCloud of Benson, North Carolina.
Garland's most favorite things to do: fishing, his involvement in the Rocky Mountain Stroke Association where he went to the art class where he received several awards for his acrylic paintings and planted tomato plants in planters in the front. He was a dedicated and active member in the Faith Church, he loved being with his kid and grandkids. He was a Cub scout troop Leader when his boys were little and had fun working on pinewood derby, he also coached little league baseball and was involved in all his kid's activities. He loved to plan out every detail of his family's trips to North Carolina by using a map and calling each hotel for their 3-day trip without any electronic aides.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 2, at Faith Church Evangelical Presbyterian at 10:00 am, 11373 E Alameda Avenue, Aurora, Colorado
