Gary Manzer, of Aurora, COm passed away at the age of 66 on March 25th, 2024. While on a
job site in New Mexico doing the work he loved, he unfortunately suffered a fatal heart attack.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, co-workers and everyone who had the pleasure
to know him.
He was born in Rochester, MN on November 11th, 1957 to Francis and Raymond Manzer. He
had 3 brothers, Raymond, Jack and Bob; and 2 sisters, JoAnne and Ruth, and many, many
nieces and nephews.
He met the love of his life, Sandra, on June 18th, 1980, and were married on September 20th,
1980. On June 24th, 1992 they welcomed their son, Michael. He loved the outdoors and often
did projects like fixing old cars with his son. Some of his favorite activities included fishing,
panning for gold, going to see the elk in Estes Park, and visiting Spruce Mountain Ranch, to
name a few. His family meant everything to him and he did well making sure they were well
provided for and taken care of.
At family gatherings and during holidays, he could always be counted on for laughs, a positive
attitude, and of course - to eliminate any and all leftover food. He was kind-hearted, good
natured, and was deeply loved.
For more than 26 years, he worked for Sema Construction. He was a loyal and dedicated
worker, and loved what he did. He was proud of the work he did, and loved to tell stories about
his latest projects. Known for being reliable and talented in his field, he quickly became an
asset to the company, and a long-term team player.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandra, and his devoted son Michael.
