Gary Gene McBeth 68 of Lakewood CO, he was born on May 20, 1955 in Denver CO, to Keith and Darlene McBeth, he passed away on October 18, 2023. Gary is survived by his loving wife Janell whom he was married to for 47 years, daughter Sonya, son in law Josh, his 4 grand kids, Riley, Daisy, Joshua Jr, and Atlee, and his sister Cindy.
Gary went to Schmitt Elementary, Kepner Junior High, he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973. He also attended Emily Griffith Opportunity School to study electronics.
As a child Gary grew up across the street from the YMCA where him and his friend Mike would spend all summer swimming. These two also liked to get in trouble together.
Automobiles, dune buggies, snowmobiles, motorcycles were all things that he loved. He modified his race car and painted it purple for Janell, he drove at Englewood Speedway. He would tinker with his dune buggies then go 4 wheeling in them. While in the mountains he was also an avid hunter and fisher, he hunted for grouse and elk, and of course would go camping.
Gary was a collector, he loved nut crackers, M&M figures and monkeys, that was his favorite animal when he went to the zoo.
He loved to travel and go camping with his family. Spending a lot of summers driving to California, and Nevada. The family went to Mount Rushmore and Reptile Gardens. Gary and Janell went on cruises to different places in Mexico. He swam with stingrays and snorkeled. Vegas was probably his favorite place at Halloween time because he enjoyed dressing up.
Gary was a very adventurous man and was always looking for something new to try.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa.
He will be missed.
