Gary was born in Joliet, IL. on August 6, 1950, to Merlin and Carol Smith. Gary grew up in Denver, CO. and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School.
Gary earned his bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Religion from Greenville College and served as a pastor in Denver, Canon City and Colorado Springs. After leaving formal ministry in 1978, he worked in various occupations and industries.
He is survived by his sisters Marsha and Dawn, and his three children: Jeffrey, Jennifer and Jason." ~ Ezekiel 37:1-5
