Gary Gordon Walker Sr.

August 1, 1940 — July 15, 2023

Gary was born in Wauneta, Nebraska August 1, 1940. He was the youngest of seven children born to Frank Earl Walker and Clara Faye Knotwell, who both preceded him in death. He graduated from McCook Nebraska Senior High in 1958. Gary served in the US Air Force for six years. He and his wife, Julia Tovar, were married on March 17, 1960 and together raised four children. Gary was also the very proud Grandfather to nine grandchildren.

He was a member of the fraternal order of Freemasons and an active member in the Knight of Columbus. For the last several years Gary battled a relentless disease with grace, courage, and dignity.

As we look back over time we find ourselves wondering……did we remember to thank you enough for all the things you did and for the sacrifices you made? Did we thank you for the simple things like laughter, smiles and times we shared? We're thanking you now and hoping you knew all along, how much you meant to us. Rest in peace.
