George S. Beller, a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many, passed away on August 22, 2023, at the age of 88. Born on a family farm in Russell County, Kansas, on October 22, 1934 to Willis David and Bessie Marie Beller. George was the 13th child and the last surviving member of his large family, having outlived his 14 siblings.
On July 6, 1952, George joined hands in marriage with Paula Sparks, and together, they embarked on a journey of love, resilience, and shared experiences. A man of diverse talents and passions, George's journey took him through various places, but it was in Colorado that he spent much of his fulfilling life. He also cherished the memories from his time living in Pearland, Texas.
George's devotion to his family was unwavering. He was a loving father to two children, Paul David Beller and Susan Dee Reed. His legacy extends through generations, surviving in the hearts of his wife, Paula Beller; daughter, Susan Reed; grandchildren, Miki Gann (George), Christine Hughes, David Beller (Nick), Carri Senter (Mark), Linda Eve, Sarah Kane (Jeremy), Natalie Beller; great-grandchildren, Trevin Wharton, Andrew Wharton (Ashleigh), Braydon Hughes, Ayden Gann, Maya Hughes, Ashlyn Eve, Amelia Hughes, Jaylee Kane, Kenlee Kane, Caizlee Kane; and even a great-great-grandchild, Waylon Wharton.
Throughout his vibrant life, George pursued various occupations. He displayed his skills as a carpenter, painter, and realtor, but it was his role as a corporate pilot and flight instructor that truly ignited his passion. The skies were his canvas, and he embraced the freedom of flight with unwavering enthusiasm.
Beyond his professional pursuits, George had a penchant for woodworking and humor. His hands crafted intricate pieces, a reflection of his artistic spirit. He was known for his "grandpa" jokes, which never failed to bring a smile to those around him. A dedicated patriot, George's love for his country was evident in all he did.
As we bid farewell to George S. Beller, we remember him for his warmth, his accomplishments, and the imprint he left on the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, a reminder of a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure for generations to come.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home. 901 S. Sheridan Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80226.
