George Owen Dauphinee

Obituary-George "Owen" Dauphinee of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on October 30th, 2022. Three months after a tragic accident caused by a careless driver that occurred while walking home from Target on August 1st, 2022.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York, June 12th, 1953, to Charles "Jean" Dauphinee and Angela T. Dauphinee. Preceded by his brother Stephen and survived by his brothers Joey and Michael (Christine). Owen grew up in the Bay Ridge neighborhood in Brooklyn and came to Colorado in 1977, where he met his soulmate Diane that year. They married on April 20th 1979, followed by the birth of their son, Jesse, in June of that year. 10 years later they had their daughter, Mallorie.

Owen loved sports cars and owned quite a few in his time. He enjoyed taking walks and would never turn down a cup of coffee. He was known to his many grandchildren as "Papa." He made friends everywhere he went. Owen will forever be remembered and greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Dauphinee; son Jesse Dauphinee (Jessa); daughter Mallorie Lopez Bautista (Samuel); grandchildren Austin (Cheyanne), Angela, Hannah, Owen, Majhia, Amariah, Cecilia, Titus, and Berechiah; foster grandchildren J'Adyen, Jiraiya, and Luis; and great grandchildren Tatum and Grayson.

A celebration of his life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 190 Potomac St, Aurora, CO 80011, Saturday, November 12th, 2022, at 10AM.
