George Hopkins

George Hopkins, 73,. died suddenly of a heart attack July 21, 2005 in Denver. Survived by Beverly, his loving wife of 54 years; 5 daughters, Sandy Horton, Pamela Matsunaga, Debbie Taylor, Crystal Lavattiata, and Starr Drott, 11 grandchildren, John, Tommy, Kami, Tani, Mika, Jeremiah, Sarah, Adriana, Dominic, Marissa, and Chadd, and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother-in-law Ivan Frank and son-in-laws Johnnie Horton, Dennis Lavattiata, Rodger Pauletich, and Bill Drott. George was born in Denver, CO, graduated from West High School, served in the Navy from 1951-1955, was a master electrician and currently a building inspector for Federal Heights, CO and was a member of American Legion Post #0193. Visitation will be held Monday, 6:30 to 8:30 PM with Funeral Service Tuesday, 2:00 PM, both at Newcomer Family Funeral Home West Metro Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Colorado Humane Society in George's memory.
