George Lawrence Theotokatos
George L .Theotokatos, 77, died peacefully on December 26, 2006, at the Hospice of Saint John in Lakewood, Colorado, after a long and brave battle with cancer.
He was born to Sam and Mary Theotokatos in Salida, Colorado, on October 11, 1929.
George graduated from Salida High School in 1947 and then attended Pueblo Junior College and served in the United States Navy before returning to Salida to assist his dad with running Sam's Country Club.
George married Frances Newman of Salida in 1960 and they had a daughter, Deb, in 1961. George also had a son, Paul, in 1957.
For over 30 years, George worked as the general manager of a Salida construction company and also did bookkeeping for several Salida businesses. After moving to Golden, Colorado, in 1990, George worked for an HVAC company until he retired in
1999.
Throughout his life, George brought happiness to all who knew him.
George is survived by his wife Frances of Golden, Colorado, daughter Deb Theotokatos of Houston, Texas, son Paul Parris and granddaughters Tiffany and Brittany Parris, all of Benton, Arkansas, sister Katherine Flora of Boise, Idaho, nephew Don Flora of Boise, Idaho, niece Jane Purser of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and niece Kris Miller of Boulder, Colorado.
There will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Saint John, 1320 Everett Court, Lakewood, CO, 80215.
