Gerald Edward Collins, 63, of Black Hawk, passed away December 20, 2019.
He was born March 2, 1956 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Harold and Ruby (Mosher) Collins. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School. In 1984, Gerald married Linda Smith, in Rock Island, Illinois.
Gerald worked as an over the road truck driver with ABF (Arkansas Best Freight) for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 17. He loved listening to talk radio, hiking, camping, and spending time with his family.
Gerald is survived by his daughters, Molly Collins (Nathan Hoefgen), Katrina (Matthew) Andybur, and Joni Lopez; grandchildren, Kayden Hoefgen, Elexa Andybur, and Bailey Jimmison; brother, Robert (Jeanette) Collins; sister, Sandy Girt; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Collins, and parents, Harold Eugene and Ruby Irene Collins.
