Gerry, age 64, passed away suddenly on Feb. 4, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Marion, and sister Mary. Survived by wife Lynda and son Patrick, brothers Dan (Sandie) and Sam (Cindy) of Wisconsin, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Gerry was born in Milwaukee, WI on Oct. 2, 1946, and moved to Colorado in 1973, shortly after his marriage to Lynda. He was a warehouse supervisor for Safelite Auto Glass. He loved traveling and the family took many road trips together. He was a gifted artist in both painting and black & white photography, and was featured in art shows at several galleries in Denver and Aurora. He had an eye for the nuances of light & shadow, the blending of colors and clashing of colors. This was his passion and he fulfilled it joyfully. He also had a knack for making people around him comfortable, and was interested in the world around him. Always curious and forever discovering. A fantastic husband, cool dad, loving son and brother. He will be missed by everyone.
Memorial service and funeral Mass on Friday, Feb. 11th, starting at 4 p.m. at St. Pius X. Catholic Church, 13670 E. 13th Place, Aurora, CO. Because of Gerry's passion for art, in lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to either The Other Side Arts, 1400 Dallas St., Aurora, CO 80010, or NOW Artspace, 3977 Tennyson St., Denver, CO 80212.
