Geraldine "Jeri" (Aunt Bug) Gokhale

Jeri was born in Sioux Falls South Dakota on March 6, 1944 and went home to the Lord on June 19, 2018. She was the sixth of ten children born to Glen and Ruby Simpson both of whom precede her in death. Jeri is also preceded in death by her Brothers Marvin Simpson, Howard Simpson, Richard "Dick" Simpson, Danny Simpson and Sisters Sharon Bomsta and Patricia Ham.

Jeri was the cherished wife and is survived by her husband, Shawn Gokhale. She is also survived by her brothers Dale (Patty) Simpson of Spring Valley, CA, Lester (Nancy) Simpson of Raytown, MO and her sister Glenyce Simpson of Brighton CO. Although Jeri never had children of her own she played an enormous role in the lives of many of her numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Jeri became a born again Christian in the early 1970s. Since that time her life, including her career, was focused on serving Jesus. She worked for evangelist, Don Stewart for many years before her retirement.
Jeri had a huge giving heart and spent her life giving anything she could to her family, people of her community and beyond. She often made flower arrangements to place on the graves at the Veteran's cemetery. Jeri would make treats and deliver them to the local fire and police stations. She would also take candy and small gifts to residents of nursing homes.
