Gerry Ross Pollard

May 29, 1953 — March 15, 2020

Gerry Ross Pollard, 66, of Aurora, went to be with Jesus on Sunday March 15, 2020 after an 11-year battle with Parkinson's disease, dementia and heart failure. He was born to the late Rex and Polly Pollard on May 29, 1953, in Jacksonville FL. After graduating from Dublin High School in 1971, Gerry attended Chabot College and then went on to complete a baker's apprenticeship program. He worked as a baker for 28 years, predominantly with Safeway and Albertsons and retired in 2009. Gerry enjoyed spending time outside (going to the park, fishing and hiking), playing golf and the sport of horseracing or "feeding the horses" as he often referred to it. The Beach Boys, and later country music were his favorite types of music. Gerry was a beloved brother, father, grandfather and friend. He was a romantic and enjoyed making others laugh with his jovial sense of humor. He loved his family and friends deeply. He is survived by his four children: Nicolas and Jennifer Pollard, of Aurora CO; Travis Pollard, of Aurora CO; Mekayla and Kyle Malarkey of Mcminnville OR; Kenzie Pollard of Davis CA; one brother and two sisters: Lyn Manson of San Jose CA; Geoff and Susan Pollard of Grass Valley CA; and Julee and Randy Armstrong of Freedom WY. He is also survived by three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 6th, 2020 at 11am at Calvary Wellspring Church in Aurora, Colorado.
