Gertrudes €œGerry” Galapin Antolin

Gertrudes "Gerry" Galapin Antolin left this world unexpectedly on July 26th, 2021, at the age of 74. This extraordinary woman was born Gertrudes Galapin in Bayambang, Pangasinan, Philippines on November 12th, 1946, and was the youngest child of Eusebio Galapin and Martina Mauricio Galapin. She met her best friend and the love of her life Norman Antolin as teenagers during their college years. When Norman first laid eyes on this stunning and fiery young lady, he knew she was The One. As luck would have it, Gerry would ultimately fall head over heels with him and they would marry soon after. It was not long until they would have their first child and only son. Later, they would move to America.

Once in America, they had three more daughters. Her children can attest that their mother was loving and kind, supportive and encouraging, a fashionista with the most endearing accent and infectious laugh.

She loved caring for her family, cooking, gardening, dancing, singing karaoke and enjoyed Asian dramas. She was always ready for a day of shopping with her daughters and grandchildren. Gerry also took pleasure in having heartwarming conversations with family and friends.

This beautiful Angel will be remembered as a selfless and dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother and "Auntie Mom" as well as a wise and trusting confidante who had a quiet strength with a mighty laughter, a compassionate spirit along with a twinkle in her eye and always looked to a better tomorrow.

Gerry is survived by her husband Norman. Along with three daughters Geraldine, Sharon, & Donna and six grandchildren Robert, Kenneth, Dominique, Brandon, Isabella & Kai and predeceased by her son German.
