Gilbert C. Decker

Gilbert C. Decker, 66, of Aurora, CO, died unexpectedly at his home on Feb. 18, 2018. He was born in Liberty, NY, to G. Emmett Decker and Corene M. Decker (both deceased). Gil graduated from Liberty Central School and eventually followed his future wife, Vicki, to Colorado where he entered the manufacturing field. He rose to the level of CNC programmer and plant manager followed by positions in sales until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Vicki, and his daughter, Elizabeth Umnik, of Landsdale, PA; two sisters, Mary Ann (Willy) Bitjeman of Liberty, NY, and Sally (Joe) Carmody of Bainbridge, NY; and two brothers, Bob Decker and Joe (Pat) Decker, both of Liberty, NY.

Gil and Vicki were avid dog lovers and over many years they saved and adopted several dogs from their local shelter. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gil's memory may be made to your local animal shelters.
