Glenn Edward Billings

Glenn Edward Billings, 76, of Brighton, CO, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 surrounded by family. He was received into the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Parents, along with many others who longed to celebrate his honorable return to them.
He was born in Grand Junction, CO, on January 14, 1944 to Mary Coscorroza and Glenn Elsworth Billings. Glenn graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1962. He served a 2 ½ year mission to Chile for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He then received his Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Economics in 1969 from Brigham Young University, Provo, UT. He married Barbara Gibb in the Manti LDS Utah Temple on December 17, 1967. Glenn and Barbara raised a beautiful family of 6 kids while Glenn worked for the Government as a Budget Analyst for the Bureau of Reclamation. He retired in 2000. He then spent the rest of his days loving his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Glenn is survived by his wife Barbara; his brother Jim Billings, of Hawthorne; his children Tari Morris, of Yuma; Doug and Angel Billings, of Minot; David and Kelly Billings, of Northglenn; Cindy and Mark Salazar, of Provo; Dean and Cortney Billings, of Westminster; Annie and Elias Alberti, of Thornton. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary and father Glenn, sister and brother, and a son-in-law, Dwayne.
You will be greatly missed Dad. You have served well here in the mortal realm. Now you are serving in the Immortal realms above. We are eternally grateful for your examples of patience, love and selfless service to those around you and in your care. We are better people to have had the honor and blessing to have known you here. Till we meet again in the Eternal Courts on High, singing with all our beloved ones. Praises to our God and King. Love you for Eternity.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 @ 10:00 am with a viewing held beforehand at 9:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1205 S. 27th Ave., Brighton, CO 80601. The burial will be at Orchard Mesa Cemetery in Grand Junction the following day Tuesday, January 21, 2020 @ 1:00 pm.
