Gloria R. Winston

Our hearts were saddened on Friday, May 25, 2007 by the loss of our daughter, sister, and aunt Gloria Ruth Winston. She grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska where she joined the job corp after high school. She then relocated to Denver, Colorado where she worked at Saint Joseph's Medical Center. Shortly after, Gloria took a position at the Denver VA Medical Center where she continued her career for 28 years.

She was a faithful member of First Christian Assembly of God Montbella. She was active in the Women's Fellowship and other church ministries.

We are very glad that God sent us an angel like Gloria to spend the time she had with us. Gloria was generous, giving and loving to her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her sister Annette June Phillips, brother Walter Anthony Winston and grandmother June Bernice Hudson.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories her mother Marjorie Dorsey of Newport News, Virginia; two sisters; Merna Perry of Omaha, Nebraska and Victoria Dorsey of Lincoln, Nebraska; and one brother-in-law Howard M. Phillips of Newport News, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Special Tribute
Gloria was not just a sister to us, she was God's shining Starr. She was there for the good times and the bad times. We love you Starr. You will always be shining in our hearts.
