Graceann C. (Keating) Stewart died Tuesday February 6, 2018, at Collier Hospice Center, Wheat Ridge, CO.
Visitation will be 4-7pm Tuesday February 13th at Newcomer Funeral Home, Lakewood, CO with family present. Burial will be in Saint Wenceslaus Bohemian Catholic Cemetery, Howard County Nebraska.
Graceann was born June 25, 1937, in Saint Paul, NE to Richard H. and Loretta (Borzych) Keating.
Graceann attended school in Saint Paul, graduating in 1955 and then attended Loretto Heights College in Denver, CO graduating in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science – Dietetics.
On January 23, 1960 she married Richard A. Stewart, two children would later bless their union.
Graceann was an amazing woman and a passionate force for life. She adored being a hands on Grandmother to Nicholas and Cassy.
She also used her voice of passion for the betterment of her beloved Scottish Terriers. The mid 70's she fell in love with a sweet Scottish Terrier and began her own kennel. For over 40 years she enjoyed the show circuits and traveling the United States to promote and share her passion. She became an amazing teacher for her peers. Weeknowe Walsing was her joy.
If she was not busy with kids, or Scotties she was happily in her kitchen, gardening, reading, or cheering for the Huskers. She will be remembered singing in church and was a member of Holy Family Parish for 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Theodore and by her parents and her brother, Richard
Survivors include her husband Richard of Denver, CO, her daughter and son in law, Victoria and Douglas Loghry of Sidney, NE, her grandchildren, Nicholas Ross of Lincoln, NE and Cassy Ross of Lincoln, NE and step granddaughters Jayma Smay and Katie Montes.
