Graeme Large was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England on July 21, 1955. He lived in both Newcastle and Yorkshire, England before he moved with his family to Lakewood, CO in 1969. He attended Alameda High School, and later worked in the Jefferson County Communications Division. Graeme was an avid gardener, and spent much time landscaping and tending to his beautiful yard at home in Lakewood. He was also a fan of Formula One racing. In his youth he loved sports cars, and at one time owned an Opel GT, which was his pride and joy. He enjoyed attending classic car shows, and he was an accomplished skier in his youth. Graeme liked classic rock music, and one of his favorite bands was Dexy's Midnight Runners.
Graeme was predeceased by his mother, Esther, and his brother, Stewart. Graeme passed away peacefully on January 31, 2018 with his father by his side after a long and brave battle with renal failure. He is survived by his father Stanley F. Large of Lakewood CO, his niece Natalie and nephew Daniel Large and sister-in-law Carol Araya of Illinois, his cousin Malcolm McMaster and family of New Jersey, as well as family and friends in both England and Colorado.
