Gwendolyn Shaver

April 19, 1958 — November 18, 2022

Our much beloved Gwendolyn (Gwen) Rosetta Shaver, 64, of Littleton, Colorado, peacefully joined her departed parents, siblings, family, and friends in heaven on Friday, November 18, 2022.
Gwen was the eighth of thirteen children born to Ambrose and Elizabeth Columbus on April 19, 1958, in Enid, Oklahoma. At the delightful young age of 8, her family moved to Denver, Colorado where she immediately began creating meaningful relationships with anyone whose path she crossed.
Gwen truly had a passion for people, especially children, and played an active, unforgettable role in every church she attended.
Unsurprisingly, Gwen was voted Head Girl (comparable to today's student body president) in her senior year and graduated from Denver's West High School in 1976, then briefly attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
In 1982, Gwen met her [much more reserved] soulmate, Alvin, at All Nations Church of God in Christ in Aurora, Colorado (where they were married on October 29, 1983) and went on to be a stepmother to his 2 children (Tammi passed away in 2005) and have 4 Shavers of their own.
Gwen is survived by her husband of 39 years and their children: Brian & Tvhokne Shaver, Brandon Shaver & Tyler Symalla, Brittany & Joseph Kruchten, Breeauna, and Aleah, all residing in the Denver area. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren (Shareece, Candace, Justin, Asia, Sidney, Folane and Zoë).
Undeniably, Gwen was the epitome of an extrovert – striking up deep conversations with strangers, forming lasting friendships in the most unusual places, expressing her thoughts and beliefs unapologetically, and unafraid to take and post pictures of herself and others on social media.
Gwen [along with her epic group text messages] will be sadly missed by all of us family and friends here on Earth, but one day we will all be re-united. Gwen - you will forever be in our hearts and memories as the most amazing wife, mother, sibling, aunt, cousin, and friend we never knew we always needed.
