Harold Bassett

Harold Bassett, 79, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away February 7, 2022. He was born April 23, 1942, in Dover, New Hampshire, the son of Harold and Katina (Poulos) Bassett.

Harold is survived by his Daughter Tracy Lee Harmon; Son Harold Christopher Bassett; Granddaughter Alexandra Lee Richardson (Harmon); Grandson Austin Gregory Harmon; Granddaughter Merissah Ann Bassett; and sisters Ramona Frazier of California, Joan Sharpe of Texas, and Rebecca Rosenfeld of California. He is preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life Freddia Bassett (in which they would have celebrated 59 years of marriage on March 16).

Harold was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. His enjoyment in life was being around his family and all the Grandpets, which included dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens.

In high school, he participated in many sports activities. He started his career as a cartographer with the Department of the Interior, Mapping Division, with the US Geological Survey. He retired after 33 years of exceptional service. In his retirement years, he obtained his real estate license, played many years of tennis in which he served as a member and board member with the Lakewood Tennis Club and was a board member of his HOA.

Memorial Services for Harold will be held on Saturday, March 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer's West Metro Chapel, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado.
