Harold (Harry) James Malonson, 85, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, of Littleton,
Colorado passed away on October 13, 2020, at the age of 85 in Englewood, Colorado.
Harry was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts to Grace Magnar and Lawrence Malonson on December
6, 1934.
Harry grew up in the quintessential New England town of Stoneham, Massachusetts. In high school, he loved playing sports. Harry excelled at football, basketball, and baseball. As a three-sport letterman, was the leading scorer as a halfback in football, the league points leader in basketball, and as a catcher in baseball. He received two scholarships to play football and the Boston Red Sox asked him to try out for the team.
Harry graduated from Stoneham High School in June of 1952.
In July of 1952, at the age of only 17, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He rose to the rank of Sergeant. While in the Marine Corps, he met his sweetheart Consuelo (Connie) Robles.
Harry and Connie married on April 10, 1954, in Dumfries Virginia, and their love story blossomed
for 66 years.
He worked as a Data Processing Manager for Computercraft for many years, finishing his career at King Soopers before his official retirement. He spent his twilight years enjoying time with Connie and their adult children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Grace Magnar and Lawrence Malonson, brothers, Lawrence Jr. and Donald, sister, Elizabeth (Betty), and son, Greg Malonson.
He is survived by his wife, Consuelo; son Richard (Linda) Malonson; son, Daniel Malonson; daughter, Sharon (Joseph) Martinelli; son, Kenneth (Connie) Malonson; son, David Malonson, and daughter, Jeanell (Shaun) Collings: 17 Grandchildren, Monica, Brandi Jo, Keri, Cheri, Jeremiah, Joshua, Chante', Cherisse, Che'lynne, Megan, Amy, Bradie, Sierra, McKenna, Avery, Richell, and Shauntell; 15 great-Grandchildren: Jaden, Madison, Ricky, Tristan, Austin, Justin, Jacob, Landon, Ashlyn, Lauren, David, Jordyn, Ashton, Dawsyn, and Hanna.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on November 3, 2020, at New Hope Ministries, 875 S Sheridan Blvd. Lakewood, Co 80226. Burial will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236 for the immediate family.
