Harold Arthur Quandt, passed away in Centennial, Colorado on October 22, 2021. He was 82 years old.
Harold was born on August 2, 1939 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Reinhardt and Paula Quandt (Scherzberg). He graduated from Grand Island Senior High School. On March 19, 1960, he married his high school sweetheart, Bobbie McKellips. Harold and Bobbie were married for just two months shy of 57 years, until the passing of Bobbie in January of 2017.
Harold grew up on a dairy farm in Grand Island, NE. After his marriage to Bobbie they moved to Colorado. Harold was a mechanic and machinist for the airline industry for most of his career, starting with the original Frontier Airlines and retiring from American Airlines. He also had a machine shop in his basement and could be found there or the garage most of the time, working on or making something out of wood or metal. He was on a bowling league for many years, and never lost his love of John Deere tractors, even collecting the toy versions to enjoy.
Harold is survived by a loving family: including his daughter, Kari Berglund and son-in-law Tim; his son, Michael Quandt; three grandchildren, Zach Berglund and wife Dorothy, Hannah Crutchfield and husband Andrew, and Sarah Muenstermann and husband Cody; a great-grandson, Alex Muenstermann and a baby Crutchfield due March 2022, as well as some siblings and extended family.

The family will hold a graveside service at a later date in Grand Island, Nebraska.
