Harold Ray Byfield:
Born September, 17, 1927 and passed away on February, 21, 2010 at the age of 82. He is survived by wife Ellen Byfield; children Rick, Sandy, Steven, Marvin and Lori. He has 7 grandchildren; 4 great-Grandchildren, sisters Deberta, Deberta and Delilah; a brother Gary and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents Freeman and Violet Byfield; brother's Merton and Elton.
Harold was born in La Porte, Colorado. Later, the family moved to Kansas to farm. He graduated from Webster High School in 1948 and joined the Navy and was honorably discharged 2 years later due to injuries. He later married his first wife Shirley in 1949.
Harold and Shirley moved back to Colorado and worked on various ranches and he later went to work driving truck for North Park Transportation in Granby Colorado. He later went to work for Certified Reddi Mix cement and gravel company. He worked there for 20 years. Harold divorced Shirley and got remarried to Ellen and they had another child Lori. They moved to Lakewood Colorado where Harold retired and resided until passing due to health complications.
Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, casino action and spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed but, has found eternal peace.
Visitation Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 4 P.M. till 8 P.M. Funeral service Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. both at Newcomer West Metro Chapel. Graveside service to follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery 1 P.M. Staging Area "A".
