Harriet Franks Skeen passed away Friday morning, March 30, 2007, at the age of 88. She is survived by four children; Marguerite, Matthew, Sarah and Mary, and six grandchildren; Matt, Jr., Benjamin, Daniel, Luke, Andrew and Katie.
Harriet was born June 29, 1918 in Llano, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Pharmacy in 1939 and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. In 1955 she moved with her young family to Colorado. She worked for many years as a pharmacist at Presbyterian Hospital and Ft. Logan Mental Health Center.
Harriet was a very active and well-loved member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church for over thirty years. She spent her retirement visiting foreign lands such as Spain and Greece and helping to care for her grandchildren.
The last five years of her life she lived at the Gardens at Columbine where she had many friends. She died at the Aspen Siesta nursing home quietly and at peace with God and the world.
A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 2:00P.M. at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 1401 East Dry Creek Rd., Centennial. Donations can be made to St. Timothy's Church.
