Harriet Barbara Raczkowski passed away on January 31, 2019 at the age of 92. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Stanley, son Raymond, daughter-in-law Ann, granddaughter Rachel Kieffaber and her husband Mike and sister-in-law Norma (Brown)Raczkowski.
Harriet was the eldest child, born March 1926 to Frank and Victoria Meskowitz in Johnson City, New York. She had two siblings, Richard and Geraldine who preceded her in death. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Laurie (Raczkowski) Ronan, Denise (McKercher) Takas, Dennis McKercher, Rick Meskowitz, Karen (Raczkowski) Radenberg, Vickie (Meskowitz) Kenville, Rob Raczkowski, Ron Raczkowski, Tom McKercher, Larry McKercher, and Norine (Raczkowski) Castle.
Harriet graduated from Johnson City High School in January 1945 and went to work for the U.S. Navy as a civilian employee where she earned a Recognition of Service Certificate for her efforts during World War II. She married Stanley J. Raczkowski in June of 1947. Her career included assistant to x-ray technician, pediatric medical office assistant and teacher's aide while residing in Johnson City, New York. In 1982, she and Stanley moved to Phoenix, AZ where she went on to work in the Arizona State University Purchasing Department for 14 years. In 1999, they relocated to Silverthorne, Colorado to be closer to their son. She is a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Silverthorne, Colorado. Harriet was a very giving, loving individual and thoroughly enjoyed her active years with family trips sailing, swimming and water skiing at their Skaneateles Lake cottage, snow skiing at Greek Peak in New York, and bicycling and skiing the Colorado trails. Always a positive, happy, fun-loving spirit, she will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 21st, with reception to follow at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 89 Smith Ranch Rd, Silverthorne, CO 80498.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Three Trees Chapel, 13416 W Arbor Pl, Littleton CO 80127, on Tuesday April 16th at 11:00am, with reception to follow.
