Harriette June Mauter
Harriette June Mauter age 92 passed away at home in her sleep December 10th of congestive heart failure. In her final months she was active in her home surrounded with the love and affection of her immediate and extended family.
She was born Harriette June Kaiser in Denver, CO on June 9, 1928 the daughter of John and Marion (Bauer) Kaiser. She attended Manual High School graduating in 1945 just after her 17th birthday. Later she completed college courses in clerical administration and management.
Harriette held several secretarial and clerical roles while working at Samsonite Corp for 28 years, eventually retiring in 1983. Later to keep active, she worked part time scheduling medical appointments and transportation for residents at the Holly Heights Assisted Living Center.
For a number of years she was a member of the First German Congregational Church in Globeville where her children were baptized and confirmed. More recently she attended the Salem United Church of Christ. Harriette lived the gift of her faith and enjoyed reading, puzzles and basketball especially when her grandchildren were playing.
She is survived by her three children Warren (Libby) Mauter, Carol (Sam) Tatham of Gypsum, CO and Debora (Michael) Hurley, her three grandchildren Rhonda Tatham, Meghan and Mathew Hurley and, her sister Donna (Kaiser) Swanson. She is preceded in passing by her parents.
A memorial service for the immediate and extended family will be held on Wednesday December 30th at Newcomer Chapel, Lakewood Colorado. A larger service is anticipated in the spring to be held at Crown Hill Mortuary.
