Harry M. Yanari, 90, of Denver died Febuary 8, 2006. He was preceded in death by his son , Dale M. Yanari. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Betty; brother, George Yanari of San Jose, CA; sister, Mary Miyazawa of Denver; Sister, Amy Tsumura of Aurora; brother, James (Kimie) Yanari of Japan; sister, Sally (Kaz) Sakamoto of Denver; brother, Sam(Aki) Yanari of Michigan, sister-in-law, Emma Yanari of Denver, and sister-in-law, Kimi Yanari of Minnisota; and many nephews and nieces. Mr. Yanari was born in Henderson, CO. He graduated from Englewood High School. Harry worked at various farms in Clifornia before becoming an intern at Ioki Nursery, learning the floral business from Betty's brother, Mas Nakano. In 1945, after returning to Colorado, he married Betty. In 1946, Harry and Betty opened their flower shop, Harry's Flowers, in Downtown Denver. They ran the shop together and were one of the first florists to serve the Japanese community as well as the downtown area. Harry was a member of the Japanese American Citizens League, Tri-state Denver Buddist Temple, Denver Buddist Athletic Club and a board member of the Buddist Temple. A memorial service will be held at the Tri State Denver Buddist Temple at ______________. Febuary __, 2006, 1947 Lawrence Street.
