Helen D. Bywater

In loving memory of Helen D. Bywater, who passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007. Mother of Paula (Charles) Asher, grandmother of Ryan Dull & Jennifer Dull, widow of Norman Wellington and Kenneth Bywater, companion of James Callaway and sister of the late Albert Dunn.

Born in San Francisco, Calif. in 1926, resided and made many life-long friends across the country in Swansea Mass., Charlotte, N. Carolina and various communities of southern and northern Calif. Moved to Golden, Colorado in 1999 and to the Arvada, Colorado Meridian Retirement Community is 2002, her final home prior to passing away.

Helen had been a swimmer, competitive speed skater and outstanding golfer. Gardening, back yard birding, reading and having a cat by her side were her favorite pastimes. She is survived by "Grasshopper" who had been her close feline friend for the past 13 years. A true lover of nature, Helen enjoyed "all creatures great and small." An accomplished homemaker over the years, she was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining. She also devoted a decade to volunteering for various positions with what is now the Spanish Trails Girl Scout Council in southern Calif., eventually becoming their Training Coordinator.

A quick wit and generous spirit were her trademarks. Her greatest wish upon going to our Lord was to be in a place with lots of trees and birds and squirrels. We believe she is there.
