Helen M. Denningham

May 16, 1925 — August 4, 2020

Helen Marilda Denningham entered into eternal comfort with her Savior on August 4th 2020 at 95 years old. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 16, 1925.
Helen passed away after a brief illness in the comforts of her daughter Kathy's home in Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husbands John Cheever, Paul Denningham; her brother Kenneth Bouchard and her treasured half-brothers Bill, Earl and Arnold. She was also preceded by her much-loved son Timothy David and adored daughter Grace-Ellen Cheever (Ellis) and her beloved daughter in law Sue Cheever.
Helen is survived by her remaining children Michael (Sue), Christopher (Ted) and Kathleen Cheever as well as Brenda, Andrew, Sandy and Wayne Denningham. Helen is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and of course her precious Calico cat Cloe (as Helen would often say: "my kittie with the shape of a heart on her shoulder")
Helen's working career was primarily with Blue Cross Blue Shield in Concord, New Hampshire. At this time, she was also raising her children and caring for her own mother.
Helen loved singing in many forms; she enjoyed sharing her voice in her local church choir in Bradford, New Hampshire where she sang alongside her daughter Grace-Ellen. She took great pride in singing for the professional production of Handle's Messiah in Concord, New Hampshire during the holiday season for many consecutive years.
She loved her sports; Broncos, Rockies, Notre Dame and especially the Avalanche where she was once honored as "Fan of the Month" which included a fancy meal and seats on the glass.
Her hobbies encompassed: NTN (trivia), game shows, and OF COURSE scratch tickets.
We as her children wanted to state that Mom wasn't just our Mom but a Mom to many; the neighborhood kids in Bradford, our adult friends, and more recently those who gathered at our favorite hangout The Retreat for Saturday NTN trivia.
She is truly loved and will be dearly missed by the family and all who knew her throughout life.
We as a family and at Mom's request have decided that no services will be held.
