Helen Marie

Helen Marie Phillips died at Columbine Nursing Home in Salida, Colorado on October 22, 2004. Helen was born on Nov. 29, 1914 in Cherryvale, Kansas. She married Carl Edward Phillips on May 5th, 1939.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Helen enjoyed sewing, doll making and crafts of all kinds. She was a member of YMCA in Lakewood and a 1000 mile walking club. She took tap dance and swim lessons while in her 80's.
Helen had 6 children. She is proceeded in death by her husband Carl in 1963 and her daughter Deborah in 1999.
She is survived by daughter Rose and husband Lee Theis of Bloomington, Minn., daughter Carla Phillips of Golden, CO., son David Phillips of Bremmerton, WA., son Jack Phillips of Kansas City, KS, and daughter Peggy and husband Jerry Paschall of Buena Vista, CO. Helen is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday, 4-8pm and there will also be a Rosary at 7pm. Services Wednesday, 1pm at Newcomer Family Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to the Shriners Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah.
