Henry Heywood Mccarley

March 16, 1940 — May 15, 2022

Mac was born to the late Thomas H. and Ella Keys (Campbell) McCarley on March 16, 1940, in Anderson, South Carolina. Mac graduated from Anderson Boys High in 1958 and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1958. He was stationed at Lowry AFB and met and married Teresa (Martinez) in 1962. They lived in Aurora, Colorado.

Mac left the U.S. Air Force and joined the Colorado Air National Guard. He was the Chief of Administration for the Buckley Air National Guard and Civil Service until his retirement in 1985. He served in Vietnam between 1968 to 1969 at Phan Rang Air Base and participated in numerous summer camps to include Panama and the Netherlands.

Mac is survived by his wife Teresa of 59 years, Aurora, Colorado; daughter Darla McCarley-Celentano (Ronald), Castle Rock, Colorado; grandson Anthony Celentano, Parker, Colorado; sisters Dorothy Crowther (Charles), Abbeville, South Carolina, and Barbara King (John), Inman, South Carolina. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas H. and Ella Keys McCarley Watson and sister Jane Carithers (Barry).

Gravesite Military Honors and Interment, Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 @ 11:30 a.m., Ft. Logan National Memorial Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, Colorado. Please be at Staging Area B by 11:15 a.m.
