Hinako (Hina Oishi) Brack, 90, of Littleton, died Tuesday August 15, 2023. She was born to the late Shosaku (father) and Rie (mother) Oishi on May 5, 1933, in Sakhalin, Russia. She had 9 siblings, Rikie, Shigenobu, Ginji, Masayoshi, Teruko, Tsurujiro, Kamejiro and Haruko. When she was 13 years old, Japanese descendants were required to move overseas to Japan. She traveled by boat and lived in Bibai, Hokkaido, Japan until her early 20's. She then moved to Sapporo to make a living as a housekeeper/nanny for a U.S. military couple. She also worked at a shokudo (restaurant) in which she met the love of her life Bud (stationed in Chitose, Japan). Hinako was married on April 25, 1966, in Fukuoka, Japan and moved to the United States on August 26, 1966. On February 11, 1967, she gave birth to their first son Samuel in Fort Carson, CO. Two years later she had her son Daniel in Killeen, TX. Being a military wife, she traveled and lived in many places including Colorado, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Panama, and Hawaii. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survived by her son's Sam (April) and Dan (Michelle); her grandchildren, Kayla (Juan), Jamie (Brian), Sarah (Donnie), Matt, Mary, Bryan (Mariesa), and Hana; her great grandchildren Madelyn (Maddy), Ashly, Nathaly, Matais, Liam, and Edwin (Eddy). Preceded in death by her beloved husband Orville (Bud) Brack Jr. and great granddaughter Gweneviere (Gweney).
