Homer R. Mcnabney

Homer R. "Mac" McNabney was born on January 30, 1922 at the family farm north of Americus, Kansas and passed away on May 15, 2007.

He was the youngest son of Matthew and Bessie McNabney. He attended Rural Grade School and graduated from Americus High School in 1939. Mr. McNabney attended college at Emporia State for two years. He joined the United States Navy in January of 1942 and spent the next four years as a Pharmacists Mate in the Pacific Theatre.

His hobby was antique cars and at one time owned three Packards and restored one after retiring. He loved fishing and spent much time out doing this in the the mountains as often as possible.

Homer was employed as a bookkeeper and office manager in several automobile dealerships in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas for over twenty five years until he retired.

He is survived by a brother, Leo McNabney, of Grandview, Missouri; two grandsons, Allen, of Lakewood and Matthew, of Chicago, Illinois; a granddaughter, Ranee Rimmert, of Arvada; and a daughter-in-law, Diana McNabney, of Denver.
