Ida May Roth, age 82, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of August 12, 2007. She was born on June 14, 1925, and was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Jamison. She grew up in Macks Creek, Missouri near the Lake of the Ozarks and was one of six children.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred A. Roth and her brother, Ivan Jamison. Ida May resided in Aurora, Colorado for 52 years where she and her husband Fred, raised their daughters, Paula Roth of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Rebecca (Becky) Landes of Centennial, Colorado.
Ida was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making a variety of originally designed crafts. There wasn't anything she couldn't sew. She started work when she was eighteen and retired at age 70 working in a variety of retail stores such as Woolworth, Woolco, and Hancock Fabrics. She loved quilting, cooking, music, theater, fishing, traveling, trips to Blackhawk and making people laugh. She was an active member of her church and community. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was active in her children's Parent/Teacher Association at each school. Ida May shared the history of the family through stories with the younger generation. Next to God, family was the most important aspect of her life. Some say, she was the Historian of the family. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her. Our dear Ida May will be missed by her surviving siblings, Byron Jamison, George Jamison, John Jamison, Mary Rose Harrison, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
