Ignacio "Nash" Manuel Garcia of Lakewood, Colorado, was called home to his heavenly father on Monday, October 11, 2021, at the age of 97.
Nash was born in Ledoux, New Mexico, on January 28, 1924 to Juan and Josefina Garcia. He was orphaned as a young child and was lovingly raised by his paternal grandmother, Marcelina, on the family farm in Ledoux. Together they raised their daughters Priscilla Marcella (Marcie) Gonzalez and Barbara Lucille (Lucy) Garcia. Nash worked at the Denver Mint and as a mail handler for the US Postal Service until he retired in 1976. Nash and Lucy spent their retirement years traveling and sharing in the ministries of faith. Nash was a faithful parishioner of St. Cajetan's Holy Catholic Church in Denver.
