Ike J. Velasquez, age 84 of Denver, Colorado passed on Thursday, February 11, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Soraida; children: Cathlene (Anthony) Lopez, Gary Velasquez, Cindy Martinez, Valerie (Joe) Baca, Carol (Daniel Contreras), and Jeff (Cindy) Velasquez; 16 grandchildren: Julie, Mike, Johnny, Jess, Deanna, Melissa, Chris, Desri, Joseph, Jr., Isaac, Jacob, Danelle, Nicole, Naomi, Passion, and Jeff, Jr.; and 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 6:00 PM with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM both at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80226.
Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 29th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235. Interment following at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "A" at 12:00 PM, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235.
