Ingeborg E. Morley slipped into eternal rest on August 26, 2021, amongst loving family. She was born in Esslingen, Germany on November 21, 1934, to the lucky mother Gertrude Geisel and step-father Gerhart Scheinzbach who proceeded her in death along with her beloved husband Gerald Morley and daughter-in-law Peggy Lalouette.
Ingeborg is succeeded by her brother Rolf his wife Renate; her four children Joseph, Geraldine, Laura her husband Fred, and Janet and her husband Robert; her fifteen grandchildren: Matthew his wife Jennifer, Stephanie her husband William, Marissa her husband Matthew, Michelle her husband Daniel Brianne, Bayleigh, Taylor, Heather, Samantha, Robert and Joseph; her nine great-grandchildren: Caiden, Chasey, Cylee, Madison, Joscelynn, Amilia, Sloane, Ember and Levi. Ingeborg was a fabulous daughter, wife, mother, aunt, Omi and friend who was adored by all who knew her.
Ingeborg had a unique childhood as she grew up in World War II Germany which had greatly affected her childhood. Ingeborg had experienced black out curtains, food rations, hunger, air raids, bomb shelters and soldiers. Ingeborg developed an incredibly resilient spirit and would not allow the tribulations of her childhood to affect her goals in life. Ingeborg was an excellent skier, swimmer, diver and loved math.
Ingeborg migrated to the United States at the young age of 18 without any family or understanding of the language. Ingeborg adapted quickly to the American lifestyle and worked extremely hard to learn to read and write in English to pass the exam to become a citizen on her own merit, which was a great accomplishment for her. She was a dedicated worker as she worked in top secret nuclear division for the United States and had unique opportunities that many women of that era did not have due to her committed hard work and resilient spirit.
Ingeborg was the matriarch of the family in which instilled upon us the value of family and connected relationships along with exposing us to German traditions. Ingeborg was such a special person whom anyone could love upon meeting her and drew people in like a magnet with her kind and loving soul. Ingeborg was so amazingly welcoming that all would call her Omi and would quickly feel like a part of her family. She was an extremely generous person with her time, affection and even willingness to help others to ensure no one would ever go hungry. She had a heart of pure gold that matches her love for the color.
Ingeborg was an extremely strong woman who fought until the very end and died gallantly; as she gracefully battled cancer for 6 years. Ingeborg will be profoundly missed; however, with much faith we all know we will meet again in a loving embrace in a place far more peaceful than we'll ever know.
