Irene J. Robinson, 86, of Denver, passed away January 22, 2018.
She was born October 20, 1931 in Jackson County, Colorado, the daughter of Charles and Marie (Roth) Latham.
She was a graduate of Fort Collins High School.
On December 26, 1954, she married LeRoy "Bud" Robinson.
Irene was a member of the PTA when her children were in school.
Irene enjoyed crocheting, reading and cooking. She loved the outdoors. She hunted a few times with her husband, Bud. Irene also helped her sister, Sandra Knox, in her gift shop in Walden. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very involved in her grandchildren's activities.
Irene is survived by two sons, Charles Robinson and George Robinson; daughter, Susan (Lawrence) Grinnell; three grandchildren, Marie (Michael) Brindley, Michael (Jayne) Grinnell and Mark (Meghan) Grinnell; sister, Sandra Knox; brother, Jack Latham; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Latham and Lynette Latham; many nieces, nephews including Les (Katie) Swanson; extended family including William and Ellen Brindley and cousin, Bonnie Dazey and her cherished dog, Missy.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, LeRoy S. "Bud" Robinson; father, Charles Homer Latham; mother, Marie Florence Latham; step-mother, Ruth James; four brothers, Charles Latham, Phillip "Dick" Latham, Gene Latham and Chester Latham; brother-in-law, William Knox; sister-in-law, Carolynn Latham and cherished dog, Muffy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Irene's name to the Denver Animal Shelter, 1241 W. Bayaud Ave, Denver, CO 80223.
