Lifelong member of Mt. Carmel parish in Trinidad, CO, Isabel (Duran) Rodriguez passed into new life on January 7, 2009. Isabel was the daughter of Enrique and Jesusita Duran. Isabel was a Trinidad resident until 2000, when she relocated to her new home in Aurora, CO. She was the last surviving sibling of Sophie Marez, Mary Trujillo, Cora Tafoya, Josephine Santillanez, Andy Duran, Rueben Duran and Henry Marez.
Isabel was the mother of eight children; Bryan Rodriguez, Elizabeth (Rodriguez) Nunley, Donald Rodriguez, Douglas Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez (deceased), Anthony Rodriguez, Catherine (Rodriguez) Zinger, Carol Romero, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous friends.
Rosary services for Isabel will be held at Newcomer Funeral Homes East Chapel, 190 Potomac St., Aurora, CO 80013 on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, 7:00 pm.
Mass will be held on 10:30am Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at St. Michaels' Archangel Catholic Church, 19099 E Floyd Avenue, Aurora, CO 80013. Interment will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery located in Denver, Colorado.
Active pallbearers will be Vern Baca, Jim Iuppa, Don Taylor, Jim Solano, Frank Rivera, and Gary Terry. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association 2480 W. 26th Avenue, Suite 120B, Denver, CO, 80211.
