Jack Alonzo Spratte, age 72, of Golden, CO passed away Tuesday April 14, 2020 with his loving daughter and brother-in-law by his side.
Born August 21, 1947 in Denver, Colorado, Jack remained a true Colorado native until his death. He was the son of George and Jeannie Spratte (Vaughn) and was a brother to two siblings, his brother Robert and a sister. As a young man, Jack met the love of his life, the late Norma Jean Spratte (Moran). Together they had their only daughter, Terri, in 1975. Jack was a doting husband to his wife until the time of her death in 2012. He was a loyal employee for RTD until he retired.
Jack loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, spending time with his dogs and being a father to Terri. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Jack's laugh was contagious and his sense of humor could make you smile, even in your darkest hour. He loved to drink a cold beer and tell a good story. When Jack was younger, he also enjoyed hunting with his father-in-law and family near Rabbit Ear pass in Kremmling, CO.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Terri Spratte, brother, Robert Spratte, brother-in-law Michael (Regina) Earley, nephews Deryck (Ashley) Earley and Eldon (Liz) Earley, nieces Kyndra (George) Schroeder and Valarie (Gary) Garrison, many great nieces and nephews and his cousins.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, George Spratte, mother, Jeannie Spratte and his wife, Norma Jean Spratte.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
